Monaghan consigned to another defeat

Martin Murray’s Dundalk side enjoyed a morale-boosting 3-0 win tonight over bottom club Monaghan Utd at Oriel Park.

Goals from Martin Reilly on thirty-seven and ninety minutes, as well as a first goal for new English signing Gary Haylock, tied up the points for the home side.

Monaghan’s only win of this season so far had in fact come against Dundalk, but this setback leaves them in a very precarious position with only nine points from twenty-two matches played.
