Monaghan 0-13 Armagh 0-9
Monaghan caused the shock of the day by ousting All-Ireland champions Armagh from the Ulster Championship in Clones today.
Colm Coyle's youngsters now go on to meet Down in next month's quarter-final while Armagh must negotiate a path through the All-Ireland qualifying series.
Monaghan - who finished with 14 men after Damien Freeman collected two yellow cards - opened the scoring after two minutes when Thomas Freeman burst through the Armagh defence to slot over. But the champions regained their composure and Diamaid Marsden pointed in the 15th minute to put Armagh 3-2 up.
But further scores from Paul Finlay, Raymond Ronaghan and Michael Slowey edged Monaghan ahead and they took a deserved 0-6 to 0-4 lead in with them at the break.
The excellent Finlay kept Monaghan's total ticking over in the second period and they led by two points midway through the half.
But the Armagh machine began to motor inside the final 20 minutes and Tony McEntee recorded a splendid score to put one between the sides.
However, Armagh boss Joe Kernan will question the discipline of a number of his players as Finaly rattled over three more frees to put Monaghan 11-7 ahead with 10 minutes to play.
Armagh substitute Philip Loughran ensured a tense close to the game with two pointed frees but Finlay notched a brace in the final two minutes to seal a famous victory.
Limerick 0-16 Cork 0-6
Limerick toppled Munster champions Cork at a rain soaked Pairc Ui Chaoimh today to set up a semi-final showdown with Clare next month.
Liam Kearns' side, who lost out to Westmeath in last weekend's NFL Division Two final, tactically outwitted a dismal Cork side to run out convincing 10 point winners.
Captain Muiris Gavin inspired Limerick to victory - scoring a total of nine points (eight from frees).
Limerick dominated from the throw-in and led by double scores at the break - 0-10 to 0-5.
Limerick were happy to sit off Cork and get men behind the ball to play a spoiling tactic. That decision worked a treat, and despite Colin Corkery hitting four points in total, the lame Cork attack registered just one score in the second half.
Louth 4-12 Wicklow 2-7
Dublin will play Louth in the Leinster football championship quarter-final at the start of June after Paddy Carr's men outclassed Wicklow at Croke Park today.
Louth kicked many wides but turned in a strong performance to eventually outclass John O'Leary's side by 11 points.
Louth had numerous opportunities in the early stages to open a sizeable lead but found Wicklow goalkeeper Robert Hollingsworth in fine form.
Breandain Ó Hannaidh punished Louth for their poor shooting with a goal at the other end but Wicklow failed to capitalise on that score and allowed their opponents settle and dominate.
Corner forward JP Rooney inspired the Louth attack throughout and he netted after 16 minutes. Louth kicked on and Mark Stanfield beat Hollingsworth to establish a six point advantage at half-time.
Louth continued to punish after the break and Stanfield bagged his second goal to kill off the contest.
Wicklow's Anthony Nolan goaled to reduce the margin to single figures but a splatter of points and a second Rooney goal secured Louth an 11 point victory and a date with Dublin in the quarter-final.
Westmeath 1-17 Carlow 1-12
Westmeath secured a quarter-final date with neighbours Meath following an unconvincing five point victory over Carlow at Croke Park.
Shane Colleary found the net for Westmeath during the first half and they led by five points at the break.
Carlow will rue a number of missed goal chances in the second half. By the time they did raise the green flag - Willie Minchin netting in the final minute - the game was already well beyond them.
