London - The owner of a Monet painting which sold for nearly £4 million will share the proceeds with the heirs of its original Jewish owners, Sotheby's auction house said yesterday. The original owner, Ludwig Kainer, had been forced by the Nazis to sell the painting in the "Jew auctions" of 1935. Monet's Au Parc Monceau fetched £3.74 million on Tuesday at auction in London.
