Nottinghamshire county cricket club have doubled the
number of stewards to 350 for Tuesday's one-day triangular series match between Australia and Pakistan at Trent Bridge.
The decision follows crowd violence at Headingley in Leeds yesterday where Englandconceded their triangular series one-day match and a steward sustained broken ribs after hundreds of spectators invaded the pitch.
"For the match at Trent Bridge, not only have we doubled the number of stewards, but we've also been in contact with the RFU [Rugby Football Union] at Twickenham, who have been most useful," Nottinghamshire chief executive David Collier told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"Twickenham has utilised some plastic banner fencing in recent years, which has roved to be very successful. That will be utilised at Trent Bridge tomorrow night."
Collier said the club had also contacted the Home Office onMonday seeking emergency legislation to introduce fines for pitch invaders.
