CALCUTTA - Mother Teresa (86), after a serious illness last year, plans to visit the US and Europe on her first trip outside India after stepping down as head of her religious order, a spokeswoman of the Missionaries of Charity said yesterday.
The spokeswoman said the Nobel Peace Prize laureate was scheduled to leave on May 14th and expected to return by the first week of August. Her trip will include a meeting with Pope John Paul.
