A motorcyclist killed in a crash yesterday morning has been named as 39-year-old Patrick Gorman with an address at Tullow Road, Carlow.

The 39-year-old man died when he was travelling on left the road before 8.30 a.m. at Keelogue near Killishin. A second man is still being treated in hospital in Kilkenny.

Mr Gorman was the third man to die in a motorcycle crash between Friday and Saturday. Mr Raymond Moore (44) with an address at Knocknacarra, Co Galway died in an collision with a tractor at Kinnegad, Co Westmeath, at 6.30 p.m. on Friday.

The third incident saw a 24-year-old man die when he collided with a car at Grange, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, yesterday. He has not yet been named.
