Close on half of Irish motorists surveyed are prepared to accept penalty points, the Automobile Association (AA) has said.
Some 46.4 per cent of 4,000 motorists surveyed felt they had rightly received penalty points, while 48.4 per cent had some complaint about the incident.
The survey revealed that 2 per cent of motorists indicated they had been asked by another driver to accept penalty points on their behalf.
