Motorists and rail passengers face more travel disruption this weekend.
Due to building work on the M1/N1 in Dublin, the road will be closed from the Coolock interchange to Collins Avenue from 6 p.m. this evening. It will reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday morning. Motorists will be diverted via the N32/Malahide Road.
Congestion is expected to be at its worst on Sunday when Armagh supporters travel to Dublin for the All-Ireland football semi-final in Croke Park. Supporters travelling from the North are advised to travel on the N2 or N3 where possible.
Rail services from Heuston and Connolly Stations in Dublin will be disrupted over the weekend due to building work, Iarnród Éireann said.
There will be only minor disruption to services to and from Heuston this evening, but tomorrow no services will be leaving or arriving at the station. Normal services will resume at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Iarnród Éireann says 80 per cent of its customers will not be affected by the work which is necessary as part of a €117 million redevelopment project.
Northbound DARTs and suburban trains leaving Connolly station will be disrupted tomorrow and Sunday due to continuing work on the East Wall Road bridge.
Details of weekend train services at both stations is available on Iarnród Éireann's website www.irishrail.ie.
Tomorrow's Creamfields 2002 music festival will be serviced by several services. Shuttle buses will run to Punchestown from Dublin Bus offices on O'Connell Street, and Bus Éireann and Iarnród Éireann will have services laid on for the event.
Bus Éireann will also operate special buses from Dublin to the Curragh Races on Sunday. The buses will leave the capital between 2.15 and 5.55 p.m. and will return immediately after the last race.
