Motorists have been warned that extremely foggy conditions are making driving difficult in many parts of the country this morning.
AA Roadwatch said counties Galway, Offaly, Meath and Westmeath were worst affected. Fog has lifted in counties Donegal, Leitrim, and Longford.

The N6 at Tyrellspass, Co Westmeath, and the M7 near Monasterevin, Co Kildare, were particularly bad, it said.
Motorists are strongly advised to use fog lights in fog-affected areas only but to keep dipped headlights on at all times.
"It's also very important to reduce speed and keep a very safe distance from the vehicle in front," AA Roadwatch added.
A motorway pile-up on the M7 last week left a young mother dead and up to 30 people hospitalised.
Kate Moyles (24), from Lumville, Co Kildare, died from massive head injuries she sustained when her Volkswagen Polo ran into the back of a fire engine that was travelling towards the initial crash.
Gardaí said drivers did not slow down on the morning of the crashes that involved 60 vehicles.
