A 19-year-old man, arrested in connection with an alleged assault on December 26 thin Drogheda, has been released without charge.
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation into the death of Darren McKeown (29) of New Heights, Donore in Co Meath. Mr McKeown died in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin after the incident at Rowan Heights in Drogheda in the early hours of Wednesday last.
Three other people who were arrested as part of the investigation into the alleged assault were all later released without charge and a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
