Three new series of stamps are to be issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the National Gallery in Dublin.

The first of the series was unveiled at the gallery this afternoon by the Minister for Communications, Mr Dermot Ahern, and the director of the National Gallery Mr Raymond Keaveney.
The set of four stamps features works from artists on display at the gallery.
The paintings chosen to be reproduced on the stamps were The Conjurorby Nathaniel Hone, Before the Startby Jack B Yeats, The Colosseum and Arch of Constantineby Giovanni Paolo Panini and The Gleanersby Jules Breton.
