A HIGH Court action by a manager at the Irish National Stud alleging she was bullied after she ended an alleged affair with the former stud CEO John Clarke will be heard next year on a date to be fixed later.

Lawyers for Julie Lynch yesterday secured orders from Ms Justice Mary Laffoy requiring the stud to discover certain documents for the proceedings.

In seeking discovery earlier, Frank Callinan, for Ms Lynch, said most matters relating to the discovery of documents had already been agreed but there were several outstanding matters that needed to be addressed.

Counsel said the defendants had refused to provide certain documentation requested, including details of complaints made by Ms Lynch and material included in an independent report by Finbarr Flood into allegations made by Ms Lynch.

Conor Power, for the defendants, said some requests for documentation had been refused on grounds including they were exceptionally broad, the material sought was irrelevant and there was massive duplication in what had already been handed over.

Substantial documentation had already been provided in the case, counsel added.

Ms Justice Laffoy ruled Ms Lynch was entitled to most of the documents she had sought and ordered it be provided.
