Fifteen people have died and more than 12 have been injured after their bus plunged into a river in Nepal today.
The bus plunged into a river at Bajung, 160 miles west of Kathmandu, capital of the mountainous kingdom.
Authorities said the bus was partially submerged in the Modi river and that the cause of the accident was not immediately known.
Rescuers in the remote part of Nepal had recovered 12 bodies from the bus. One person died in hospital while two more bodies were yet to be taken out of the vehicle. None of the dead were tourists.
Police in Nepal said four Israeli and an Australian tourists were among the injured. One of the Israeli tourists was in critical condition. All the injured have been hospitalised in nearby towns.
Accidents are common in Nepal where roads often wind treacherously around hills and mountains and where safety regulations are poorly enforced.
