It is a nervous waiting game in the RDS in Dublin tonight. People stood around the cavernous count centre waiting and watching as ballot papers were counted in the European elections.
And there were rumours. Labour Party candidate Ms Ivana Bacik might be in with a chance of the forth seat. Then again, she might not, depending on who you listen to.
And it was also bandied about that the Green Party's Patricia McKenna may not hold her seat. There was another huddle around RTE Correspondent, Mr Charlie Bird, who was sitting on a podium lit with super bright lights.
But when you drew closer, you saw that everyone was just watching a football match, and later Eastenders. Shortly after 8 p.m. a rumour went around that the elusive Fianna Fail candidate Mr Royston Brady was on his way.
Charlie Bird was exited.
But it turned out that it was Royston's more low key colleague Mr Eoin Ryan who was on his way. Surrounded by family and supporters he posed for pictures in a carefully choreographed scene.
Among the prominent politician waiting were the Government Chilef whip, Ms Mary Hanafin in a pale pink suit and Mr John Gormley of the Green Party.
To boisterous applause, the Sinn Fein European election candidate, Ms Mary Lou McDonald arrived at the count centre to join her party leader, Mr Gerry Adams and Mr Martin McGuinness.
Ms McDonald is in the running to take the fourth Dublin seat.
Also awaiting the first indications of who will take the seats was Mr Brendan Price of the Dublin Seal Sanctuary.
