British police said today they had referred a third incident relating to policing of protests at the G20 London summit to the police complaints watchdog for investigation.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is already investigating two cases of alleged police violence at the April 1st and April 2nd protests, one against a woman and one against a man who later collapsed and died.
A spokesman for London's Scotland Yard police headquarters said: "I can confirm that a third complaint has been referred to the IPCC." He gave no further details.
The IPCC said on Friday a Metropolitan police officer had been questioned on suspicion of manslaughter over the death of newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson during G20 protests on April 1st.
A Metropolitan police sergeant was suspended on Wednesday after footage came to light of a female protester, Nicola Fisher, being hit across the face and beaten by a baton-wielding policeman during a second day of protests on April 2nd.
