Gardai are preparing a third file for the Director of Public Prosecutions on the 1998 murder of a prostitute near Dublin's Grand Canal. Ms Sinead Kelly (21) was found dead on the canal bank between Baggot Street Bridge and Mount Street. She had been stabbed 14 times.
Two men were questioned about the killing, and files on both have been sent to the DPP. A Garda spokesman confirmed yesterday that as a result of further inquiries a third file was now being prepared.
