Today's meeting at Newbury has been abandoned after the stewards found false patches of ground at an 8.15 inspection this morning.
Heavy rain fell at the course on Friday turning the going to heavy and this morning spokesman Richard Osgood said: "We had three-quarters of an inch of rain yesterday. We haven't had any rain overnight but the track hasn't dried up as much as we'd hoped.
"We have abandoned due to false patches of ground.
"The problem was caused by all the rain we had during racing yesterday afternoon and there was no improvement overnight."
