Nottingham Forest have accepted a £5 million sterling bid from Newcastle United for Jermaine Jenas, according to the First Division club's website.
Midfielder Jenas (18) is expected to talk to Newcastle boss Bobby Robson today to discuss terms.
Forest chief executive Mark Arthur told the website: "We have accepted what we feel to be a very good offer from Newcastle for Jermaine".
Jenas, a product of Forest's hugely successful academy system, has made 31 appearances for the Reds this season and has scored four goals.

Newcastle, who are third in the Premier League and pushing for a Champions League spot, have been trailing the England Under-19 skipper for some time.
