Solid growth in student accommodation has helped pushed Newcourt's trading profits up by €4 million - an increase of more than 100 per cent for the Irish support and outsourced service group.
The company, which operates security, recruitment and student accommodation divisons, announced today that revenue had increased by €20.4 million, or 45 per cent, for the six months ended 30 June 2007.
Trading profit has increased by €4 million, or 107 per cent on the same period the previous year, with €60,000 relating to contributions from 2007 acquisitions, the company said.
Profit growth in its support Services and student accommodation division grew by 139 per cent with recruitment and aviation outsourcing increased by 42 per cent.
Chairman James Osborne said strong growth, combined with the integration of acquisitions had delivered a strong performance in the first half of the year. "I am optimistic that this performance will continue for the remainder of the year."
