A 21-year-old man has admitted stabbing a Northern Ireland tourist to death with a broken bottle in a Greek holiday island.

A 21-year-old man has admitted stabbing a Northern Ireland tourist to death with a broken bottle in a Greek holiday island.

Mr Paddy Doran (17), from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, died after sustaining a neck wound during a fight in the popular resort of Faliraki on the island of Rhodes. Mr Doran was originally from Northern Ireland.

Ten Britons, including the main suspect, were arrested in connection with the incident.

All appeared before a public prosecutor today and are likely to be formally charged tomorrow.

Greek police said the victim became involved in a brawl with 10 other Britons in a club on Monday morning. One of the 10 used a broken beer bottle to stab him in the neck and cut his jugular vein.
