Free public transport for senior citizens has been introduced in Northern Ireland.
The scheme was launched yesterday by the Regional Development Minister, Mr Gregory Campbell. Bus and rail travel on public transport will now be free for senior citizens aged 65 and older with a concessionary pass.
Meanwhile, in the South, the State's free travel pass has been extended to cover Aerdart, the shuttle bus service which has been linking Dublin airport to the city's DART and suburban rail network since last April.
