A Northern Ireland record store is at the centre of a row after raising the price of Elton John's musical tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales. A rise of 50p on the price of the CD at Sounds Good in Larne has infuriated the star's music company. The shop has been selling copies of Candle in the Wind for £4.49, while the recommended selling price is £3.99.
Polygram Records said if Sounds Good could not justify the price, buyers should look elsewhere for their copy. A store spokesman said it would not be able to keep its doors open unless it covered costs.
