Ms Katherina Schneider, the Swiss woman who was arrested on Monday night in the grounds of singer Chris de Burgh's Dalkey, Co Dublin home, returned to Switzerland after gardai offered no evidence against her at Dun Laoghaire District Court yesterday. Her solicitor, Mr Ronald J. Lynam, produced a medical report which suggested, he said, that Ms Schneider "is a lady who hasn't been terribly well". Ms Schneider told Judge Brian Kirby she was now feeling well and looking forward to "going home to meet my friends".
Judge Kirby then made an order based on Ms Schneider's undertaking to remain until 12.45 p.m. in Dun Laoghaire Garda station, and to travel in the company of a doctor and a nurse to the airport for a flight to Switzerland.
