Washington - Three US senators, all decorated Vietnam veterans, said yesterday the Pentagon should not investigate former Sen Bob Kerrey's combat revelation about a mission he led that resulted in a civilian massacre.
A fourth, Sen John McCain, a Navy pilot and Vietnam prisoner of war, said he would leave that decision to military authorities.
Mr Kerrey admitted last week that he led a Vietnam combat mission during which more than 20 unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, were killed.
