An preliminary report into a plane crash in south Connemara last month that killed two and injured seven others has found no significant technical defects on the craft.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit (AAIU) said investigations were continuing into the crash, in which the Cessna Grand Caravan's pilot, Matt Masterson (59), from Dublin, and Paul McNamee (57), from Loughrea, Co Galway, died.
Investigators examined the wreckage and its location close to Aerfort na Minna at Indreabhán, Co Galway, before the wreckage was taken to Gormanston, Co Meath, where further tests were done.
Investigators said they had yet to find evidence of pre-impact damage to controls, systems and instrumentation.
