Parties will focus on crime, housing and the environment in the general election campaign today.
It is the second-last weekend of the campaign and comes ahead of a busy week for the Taoiseach. Bertie Ahern is due to address the Houses of Parliament in London on Tuesday before taking part in a live leaders' debate on RTE Television with Fine Gael's Enda Kenny on Thursday.
Mr Ahern may also issue an eagerly-expected public statement in coming days to clarify his financial affairs dating back to the early 1990s.
In the campaign today, Fianna Fáil will be launching a plan for the future of Dublin Bay in the capital and simultaneously publishing a plan in Galway on Irish language and the Gaeltacht.
The Taoiseach will be on the canvass in Cos Clare, Kerry and Cork, while Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny will be in constituencies in Cork.
Mr Kenny will be raising awareness of party initiatives on crime and the need to put the victim before the criminal.
Labour leader Pat Rabbitte will be in Cos Meath and Louth, where he will concentrate on proposals to control property management companies and ensure the completion of housing estates by developers and builders.
The Greens are publishing a position paper on asthma and allergies, while the Progressive Democrats launch their arts and culture policy.
Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams and the North's Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness will be campaigning in Dublin.
