Irish campaigners will today remember Burmese Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi on her 62nd birthday.
The Opposition leader has spent 11 years and 238 days in detention. Supporters claim she is allowed no visitors, her phone line has been cut and her post is intercepted.
Filmmaker John Boorman, honorary president of Burma Action Ireland, will today host a lunchtime reception in Dublin to mark her birthday.
