Cellphone maker Nokia said today it would outsource some IT services to IBM in a five-year, €200 million deal to cut costs.
Nokia said the deal will see IBM run its helpdesk and desktop IT operations, with some 430 Nokia workers in 36 countries to join IBM.
The agreement, which is subject to regulatory approval, covers services delivered in 57 countries.
The deal represents another big outsourcing win for IBM in the Finnish market, which is dominated by the Nordic region's top IT services player TietoEnator.
