A website aimed at fighting organised crime in Northern Ireland communities was today unveiled in Belfast.

The initiative by the Organised Crime Task Force (OCTF) was launched by Northern Ireland Security Minister Ms Jane Kennedy.

"The establishment of a website is an important development in our fight against gangsterism in Northern Ireland, she said.

Ms Kennedy said the site would be a "shop window" for the OCTF and would provide a better understanding of its aims and objectives.

The Organised Crime Task Force website address is www.octf.gov.uk.
