Dundee - One of the two British nurses released from jail in Saudi Arabia after being convicted of murdering an Australian colleague appeared in a Scottish court yesterday charged with theft and fraud. Ms Lucille McLauchlan (33), from Dundee, pleaded not guilty through her lawyer.

She faces two charges involving the theft of a bank cash card and diary, and withdrawal of £1,960 with the cash card, offences allegedly committed before she left for Saudi Arabia. The third charge relates to an allegation of fraud in her application for employment in Saudi Arabia, where she worked until her arrest in December 1996.
