Irish Olympic silver medallist Sonia O’Sullivan has been confirmed for the long and short course category in the 29th IAAF World Cross Country Championships at Leopardstown Racecourse on the 24-25th March 2001.
O’Sullivan was preselected by the Athletics Association of Ireland to head the Irish challenge in what will be her second competitive outing on home soil since winning in Sydney last September.
Previously, the 31-year-old ran in October last year when she was second to Britain’s Paula Ratcliffe.
Ratcliffe will also compete at the World Cross Country Championships at Leopardstown next month.
