Back row forwards Victor Costello and Alan Quinlan have been called into the Irish squad ahead of Saturday's friendly international against Romania in Limerick.
Eddie O'Sullivan has summoned them as precautionary cover for Munster's Anthony Foley and Leinster's Eric Miller, who are both carrying rib injuries.
O'Sullivan and his management team are due to announce their starting line-up in Limerick tomorrow afternoon.
