Sonia O'Sullivan scored one of the best wins of her international career in today's BUPA Great Manchester Run.
O'Sullivan outsprinted defending champion Berhane Adere of Ethiopia to win the 10 kilometre race in 32minutes 12seconds.
Adere finished three seconds behind O'Sullivan with Margaret Okayo, winner of last month's Flora London Marathon, third in 32mins 24secs.
The men's race saw Craig Mottram again prove he is the world's leading distance runner. The Australian won by five seconds ahead of Zersenay Tadesse of Eridrea with third place going to Ireland's Cathal Lombard.
