Sunglasses manufacturer Oakley is to create 100 new jobs in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
The US company is to establish a new prescription eyewear facility at building at Clonmore Industrial Estate with the support of the IDA.
The move will create over 100 new highly skilled jobs over five years. Recruitment is already underway.
The Tánaiste, Ms Mary Harney, welcomed the news saying: "This is great news for Mullingar as Oakley is a technology leader in performance eyewear with a global brand."
"We chose Mullingar because of its large skilled workforce and the favourable business climate found in Ireland," said Oakley Program Manager, Ms Becky Wilkinson.
The company says its prescription eyewear revenues have doubled in each of the past three years, growing to $24.7 million in 2001.
