Manchester - Britain's most notorious paedophile Sidney Cooke faces the rest of his life behind bars after admitting a systematic campaign of abuse against two young brothers.

Cooke (72), preyed on the boys as he travelled across the country working at odd jobs during the 1970s, Manchester Crown Court was told. The assaults only came to light after a television appeal following his release from jail last year after serving nine years for the killing of teenager Jason Swift during a homosexual orgy.
