Celtic and Rangers have joined the 10 other Scottish premier league (SPL) clubs in agreeing a new television deal for the upcoming season.
The deal with the BBC, announced yesterday, will be worth £17.5 million over two years.
The package brings to an end the dispute between Celtic and Rangers and the other 10 SPL clubs which began in April when the Old Firm clubs withdrew their backing for a proposed SPL television channel.
The 10 other clubs threatened to give two years' notice and resign from the SPL.
An extraordinary general meeting of the 12 SPL clubs at Hampden Park later today is expected to endorse the package which will include live action, highlights and radio coverage.
The cameras, however, are unlikely to be in place when the season starts this weekend.
