A 29-year-old woman was arrested in Dublin after absconding on bail having been charged with the murder of a man, police said tonight.
The arrest was the first time a new European warrant was enacted between the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
She was wanted in connection with the murder of William Shaw (33) whose body was found in a fire damaged house at Camden Street off Belfast's Lisburn Road in March 2002.
Post mortem tests showed Mr Shaw had sustained head injuries from a blunt instrument. The woman is originally from Manchester.
