A man was killed and three people were injured today when a grenade was tossed during a gang fight in the centre of the Russian town of Omsk, local police said.
Fighting broke out in the early hours following street celebrations marking World War Two Victory Day, a spokeswoman in the Siberian city said by telephone.
"The celebrations were over and people had gone home. But a small group of young people started fighting in front of shops," the spokeswoman said.
"One of the men took out a grenade and threw it. One person was killed and three were taken to hospital with wounds," she said.
