A man (29) has died after a road crash in Co Louth.
The man, who is from the Louth area, was found by a passerby this morning after his vehicle hit a ditch near the village of Collon at around 5 a.m. He has not yet been named.
Elsewhere, an investigation is continuing into the death of a man in Kildysart, Co Clare, last night. Gardai are investigating the possibility he was trying to free or fix the car after he ran into difficulties.
The man, who was in his mid fifties, was found dead beside his car. He was removed to Ennis general hospital and has not yet been identified.
A man in his seventies also died on the Condell Road in Limerick yesterday morning. No others were injured.
The total number of people killed on the State's roads this year up to 9 a.m. this morning is 241.
