THE ONLY supermarket in Limerick’s Moyross housing estate opened under new owners yesterday with a promise of 50 more new jobs over the next two years.
The former Supervalu premises at Watch House Cross was due to close with the loss of 54 jobs. However, Eurospar announced last week it was taking over the premises and securing the jobs.
Moyross is Limerick’s largest council estate and is included in the city’s regeneration plan.
The community development network in Moyross welcomed the announcement.
