The leader of Scotland's Orangemen was today embroiled in a public row with his former deputy, who quit in protest at the order's handling of the Drumcree stand-off. Mr Ian Wilson, Grand Master of the Orange Lodge of Scotland, accused the Rev Gordon McCracken of "walking out on his friends" at a "particularly sensitive time". The counterattack from Mr Wilson was in response to a newspaper article by the churchman published yesterday. Mr McCracken, Church of Scotland minister at Whitburn South parish church in West Lothian, announced on Tuesday he had quit the order over its handling of the Drumcree confrontation .
