The Western Health Board is applying for a supervision order in relation to four children left at home alone by their parents, a court heard yesterday.
Last January the children's parents admitted four offences under the Childcare Act of allowing children to be ill-treated, neglected, abandoned or exposed in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering on August 17th last.
The parents cannot be named.
When the case came up for review yesterday the local Garda superintendent said gardai were concerned that the children were still in danger. He said both parents were still drinking.
