Two men accused of shooting publican Charlie Chawke have been remanded in custody to May 26th, when their case will come before the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court again.
Frank Ward (51), Knockmore Avenue, Tallaght, and Larry Cummins (54), Summerhill Parade, are charged with the shooting and robbery of Mr Chawke at his public house, the Goat Inn, Goatstown, on October 6th, 2003.
Mr Chawke was confronted by two armed men as he was leaving the premises to bring takings to the bank. He was shot in the leg, even though he said he would hand over the cash.
The accused have been remanded in custody since October 6th, 2003.
