At least 19 people from the same family drowned when their boat capsized in the Arabian Sea near Pakistan's port city of Karachi.
Officials said the accident occurred late last night and that they had recovered 19 bodies from the sea, including those of several young children.
"We received information about the incident from one of the survivors last night at around 11 p.m. and recovered 19 bodies in a three-hour operation," the official said. Four people survived the disaster, he said.
Evening boat trips are popular in Karachi, but officials have warned people to be cautious because of high seas during the summer monsoon.
