Three top Muslim clerics have been detained in Pakistan in an effort to be stop them organising anti-American demonstrations.
They could be held for up to three months.
Maulana Fazal-ur Rehman, leader of the Party of Islamic Clerics, has been under house arrest for the past two days. Samiul Haq, the pro-Taliban leader of the Afghan Defence Council, has also now been detained.
Azam Tariq, chief of Islamic Party Sipah-e-Sahaba, has been taken into custody at an airport in the eastern Pakistan city of Lahore.

The detention orders come a day after thousands of people staged violent protests in the border city of Quetta over US military strikes on Afghanistan.
