London - Police in London were yesterday investigating a theft at Buckingham Palace. Items "of great sentimental and intrinsic" value have reportedly been stolen from the private office of Princess Anne, writes Luke Holland.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman confirmed that items of "intrinsic value" had been taken but denied that they were of any personal significance. She went on to assert that "at no time was the security of any members of the royal family compromised".
