Parma have sacked Argentine coach Daniel Passarella following their poor run.
The struggling Italian Serie A club announced the decision on its website today and said Gedeone Carmignani would take temporary charge of the side for Wednesday's game at Torino.
Passarella, former coach of Argentina and Uruguay, replaced Renzo Ulivieri in November, but his side have slumped to second-bottom of the table with five straight defeats in the league.
Italian media reports have linked former Parma coaches Nevio Scala and Arrigo Sacchi with the job.
