Campaigning parties will today hold briefings on a range of issues from problems facing small businesses to the cost of living to disadvantaged communities.
Taoiseach Bertie Ahern will be in Westminster to address the Houses of Parliament, an event which will also be attended by Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny.
The main set piece of the Fianna Fáil campaign is a briefing by Minister for Enterprise Micheál Martin and Minister for Social Welfare Séamus Brennan on small businesses.
Fine Gael deputy leader Richard Bruton and Phil Hogan will make presentations on the cost of living, while Labour's Róisín Shortall and Senator Derek McDowell unveil the party's plan for disadvantaged communities. Deputy Progressive Democrats leader Liz O'Donnell and Wexford candidate Colm O'Gorman will host a briefing on education, while party leader Tánaiste Michael McDowell will be canvassing in Dublin's financial district.
The Greens will launch a new campaign video in a Dublin cinema. Party leader Trevor Sargent will also attend a meeting with Seán Dublin Bay Loftus to highlight "a 52-acre Dublin Bay infill issue" at Dollymount Strand in Dublin.

A new national opinion poll has shown that support for Fianna Fáil dropped by 3 per cent to 35 per cent in the last month. The study by Milward Brown IMS, which was carried out last Wednesday and Thursday, also revealed that Fine Gael had jumped by 3 per cent to 26 per cent and Labour had also increased support to 13 per cent.
