Former taoiseach Albert Reynolds may be hard to find in the Dail, but will he turn up for the big FF bash of the year, the Cairde Fail dinner in the Burlington on Thursday night?
He and his family were always great supporters of the occasion so they might appear. Will another former FF taoiseach, Charlie Haughey, attend? In any case neither will be at Bertie Ahern's top table; that is reserved for footballers Paul McGrath and Paidi O'Shea, swimmer Michelle de Brun, Eoin Ryan Senior, the Lord Mayor of Dublin John Stafford, PJ Mara, Ben Briscoe (the chairman of Cairde) and Rory O'Hanlon, chair of the parliamentary party. But 1,200 are expected so they could be anywhere.
