EasyJet reports that applying its price regime to Go Fly helped increase passenger traffic by nearly 50 per cent in January to 1.5 million people.
The traffic figures are the first since easyJet introduced its pricing system to the Go routes as integration of the two airlines continues.
A load factor for the month of 77.5 per cent - representing the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats - compares with the pair's 76 per cent load factor for the same month a year earlier.
EasyJet acquired rival Go for £347 million in May in a move designed to enhance its scale and potential. Last month's traffic figures represent a 43.5 per cent increase on the one million passengers EasyJet carried in January 2002.
The January traffic figures mean easyJet has carried 17.7 million passengers in the rolling 12-month period to January 31.
Chief executive Ray Webster said fare yields were weaker than at the same point of 2002 but maintained that was due to the high level of year-on-year growth.
EasyJet has also reached agreement with pilots' union BALPA on terms and conditions for its pilots that will run through to April 2004. The pilots had previously threatened strike action and are now being balloted on the agreement.
